Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data My Market Desk ("we") collects and how we use it, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

Account: your email address and a securely hashed password, or your name and email from Google if you sign in with Google.
Optional profile: phone number, age, how you plan to use the platform and trading style, if you choose to give them.
Your settings: chosen tickers, bookmarked articles and saved events.
Subscription: your plan, its period and the Razorpay subscription ID. Payment details (card, UPI, bank) are collected and held by Razorpay, not us.
Technical: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and server logs (IP address, requests) for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

To run your account and the Service, process your subscription, keep the Service secure, and contact you about your account or changes to it. We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Razorpay, to process payments.
Amazon Web Services, which hosts the Service in India/abroad.
Google, only if you choose Google sign-in.
Authorities, where the law requires it.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active, and delete it within 30 days of your request to delete the account, except records we must keep by law (for example, payment and tax records).

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing mymarketdesk@gmail.com. You may also raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), and access to data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure.
